acciThe Asian Concrete Construction Institute (ACCI) was first mooted in 2002 by a small group of engineers to provide a regional forum for the concrete industry from owners, academia and industry to network and to learn from each other.   In May 2004, the Institute was registered in Singapore under the Societies Act as a non-profit body. China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand are currently represented in the Institute.

The mission of the Institute is to promote excellence in the use of concrete through regional co-operation, exchange of information and research collaboration.   The Institute offers solution oriented strategies for the advancement of the concrete industry in Asia.   Work Groups are formed to address the diversified interests of the members which range from development of harmonized concrete materials codes in the region, self regulation of the industry to high performance concrete.


05The Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations (AFECA), officially registered with the Singapore Registry of Societies on 25 January 2005 with a long term vision to be a strategic partner in the creation of a world federation representing the exhibition and convention industry in Asia.

The objectives of the Federation is to:

  • promote the growth and development of the exhibition and convention industry in Asia
  • encourage and maintain the highest ethical standards of business conduct and professionalism within the industry
  • promote and establish common industry standards in Asia
  • represent the Asian industry in developing initiatives with Government agencies
  • represent the Asian interest at international level
  • promote the common interest of members

AFECA members are made up of regional Asian trade associations in the MICE industry from ASEAN, Taiwan, China and India, as well as corporate member companies globally.

01SACEOS, established since 1979, to be the voice and champion of the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) industry, to assist those in the business to develop and prosper, and to work closely with the government to meet the objective of making Singapore the best venue in Asia.

Training has been and continues to be a cornerstone of SACEOS and it is a strategic pillar for the association to help members as Singapore and Asia grapple with greater competition to nurture and retain talent. SACEOS achieved a milestone in this area in 2014 by bringing professional courses with international accreditation, only available in Europe and the U.S. previously, to Singapore and accessible to MICE practitioners throughout Asia. To raise professionalism in the exhibition industry, SACEOS in 2001 became the first MICE industry association in the world to launch a set of technical references.

Since its inception, SACEOS has developed and strengthened its international MICE industry network providing global networking and business opportunities for its members.

thairetailsersassThe Thai Retailers Association was formed about 1979 as the result of the efforts by retail professionals who wish to create a representative association to nurture closer relationship and ties in the retailing industry. The key objectives of the association is to resolve any dispute arising in the industry as well as to formulate strategic directions which will lead to the development of the retail industry. Over the years, the association has also contributed to the overall growth of the retail industry in Thailand by taking an active role in nurturing regional and international collaborations with overseas organizations. The Thai Retailers Association is also a member association of The Federation of Asia-Pacific Retailers Associations (FAPRA).
